Arthur and Guieneverre movie is adapted from a drama script written by Albert Pagesworth.

This movie tells about Arthurius, a brave knight who is going to be a great king. A king who unites four nations into a great kingdom called Britains. In his tactful journey, he has to face and bring thousand pains when he knows that his own Queen, Guieneverre and his bonified knight, Mordred betrayed him. He know it all along but he stays on his belief that they are his family no matter what. His purpose is only uniting the four nations; anglos, Saxon, Justes and Celt, into a peaceful kingdom and uniting all of people he loves into a peaceful family.

His own knight who assumed as his sibling, Modred, has a great revenge toward him. This revenge comes from the death of Modred’s master, Lewellyn. Lewellyn was the leader of Saxon. He was killed by Arthur in order to stop the war between their village, Roman and Saxon. After Lewellyn died, Modred followed Arthur and become one of his knights of the round table. But Modred has his own purpose, to kill Arthur and revenge his master’s death.

This movie is pretty good in the animation, the cinematography and the sound effect. The culture used in the movie is Javanese which is not the original culture of the story background. But, the assimilation of the culture is succed. The story still understandable and entertaining. The sound effect of the movie is also build up the emotion of the story. The sound effect of thunder, fighting situation, and the sad scenes are pretty good made in this movie.

This movie also includes so many fighting scenes. I think, this part is one of the weakness of this movie. The fighthing scenes of the male roles is not perfect, however, it was so much better than the female roles did. Their acting of fighting seems so awkward and unreal. There is no enough power from them, whereas the fighting scenes are so important. It makes the emotion and the challenge of fighting didnot touch the top level of the audience’s adrenaline. It seems flat somehow. Moreover, it will be better if there are some fighting sound effect such as in the tinkle of the sword, the kick and the hit. This will help the fighting scenes seems more real and make the audience’s heart beat stopped.

The movie also produced by some improvisation on the scenes. It makes it a little bit different with the original version. Some of the improvisation done by the creative crew were good, but some of them are not. The good improvisations for instance is the appearance of “nenek gayung” and the song “sakitnya tuh disini”. This scene improvisation is in a relax and funny scene when Chester wanted to show off his ability of magic. This improvisation brings a good effect to the story. But, there are also some not appropriate improvisation in the movie. The first is when Lewellyn is almost died, he calls his comrades, Modred and Guieneverre by using a mobile phone. This is pretty weird, because the setting is not in modern era and the atmosphere of the scene is serious, no comedy at all. This improvisation may be good in a comedy or funny scene, but for such serious scene, it was not appropriate. Another awkward improvisation iw in the same scene. Here, Modred swears by the name of his dead boss, Lewellyn in an angry face. But suddenly, he eats chips as well as he says some cursing words for Arthur. This improvisation brings an anti-climax to the emotion of the story. The audience are feeling the pain of Modred heart after the death of his master. He shows so much anger and a great ambition to revenge Arthur, and it was the climax. All great emotion suddenly falls by the action of “makan kerupuk”. Improvisation is good for increasing the effect of the movie, but it has to be put appropriately.

In this movie, there are some pronounciation error from the talent. Some talents do not show a good pronounciation. Of course it makes it harder to the viewers to understand every word the pronounced. Furthermore, it will make the viewers do not understand the story.

Despite all the weaknesses of teeh movie, the crew of Fantastic class have been working so hard to produce the movie. And the result is not so bad, it is still recomended to watch. And I think this movie can be nominated as one of the best movie produced in this year fairy sale.
